WAG Fun Competition 29th April 2006

Over 70 gymnasts took part in Weston Aerobic Gymnastics annual club competition at the clubs new permanent training centre The Potteries. The judges and coaches were delighted with the high standard shown by all those taking part.

The final event of the day was a stunning display from the six gymnasts who have been selected to represent Great Britain at the Italian International and the European Training Camp. Both the 15-17 Group, Kat Saunders, Sadie Berry and Rachel Harvey, and 12-14 Group Kirsty Harvey, Trina Rose and Gemma Barnfield showed their skills off beautifully.

By taking over the running of the Potteries, Weston Aerobic Gymnastics Club now has a permanent gymnastics centre that will be able to cater for all those who wish to train for fun and fitness or competitively. Alongside all the gymnastic sessions the club holds daily adult fitness classes with two of Weston’s’ most popular teachers.

The centre boasts a large sports hall suitable for many sports and activities and with a good floor and mirrors is ideal for martial arts and dance classes. The club is keen to promote the venue for community use and is looking for other clubs and dance groups to make use of the sports hall and meeting rooms.
